Figtree Video Productions
Introduction

Hi, I’m Paula Mandarino, the founder of Fig Tree Video Productions.

I’ve been a creative my entire life. Whether it was performing, or writing, or making animations in PowerPoint (yes, PowerPoint, before I had access to editing software), I wanted to be in the middle of bringing ideas to life through art.

In 2014, thanks to the gentle suggestion of a fellow singer in the university jazz choir, I was nudged down the road of digital media that would lead me where I am today.

By my college graduation in 2017, I had written and sound designed a 30 minute short film, directed and produced a season of a late night style comedy show at the university, shot and edited a viral sea turtle release video at an internship, and seized countless other opportunities to create. From late nights in the studio shooting our show, to catching that shot of a camper flying down the zip line at sunset, I was basking in the thrill of video making. I would graduate having been bit by the bug, and I was ready for what adventures would come next.

My professional career has been an enjoyable ride every step of the way. I was connected with Living Word Studios, where I’d get the honor of serving as a camera operator (Imposter Pastor, 2022), and Director of Photographer (Amazing Gracie, 2023; Ordinary Things, 2024; Under New Management, 2025) I’ve explored the basics of steadicam and assisted some admirable videographers. I’ve stood on the sidelines behind my camera, capturing precious moments of many brides and grooms as they had their first dance. I’ve gotten to try my hand at voice acting (which I love!). I’ve gotten to edit content for businesses that are doing incredible work for their clients, who are initiating waves of positive change for those they reach. In those 12 hour days on set, those hyper-focused editing sessions….I’ve found myself.

In 2023, I assembled Fig Tree Video Productions. The name comes from its’ biblical symbolic significance. Fig Trees represent growth, abundance, and wisdom, all things collaboration creates.

And you know what I’ve noticed? I’ve noticed that opportunities come from openness. When passionate people connect and share about their vision, that’s when the magic happens. Next thing you know, you’re right where you’re supposed to be, and you have something to share with the world.

Maybe you’re right where you’re supposed to be. Maybe your openness to bringing your idea to life is why you’re here. I’d love to help you. I’d love to put your Vision into Motion.
