I’ve been on the Living Word Studios team for five feature films. I served as the Director of Photography on this 2024 film, Ordinary Things. I am honored to have been awarded “Best Cinematographer” for this film at the 2024 Great Lakes Christian Film Festival.

Amazing Gracie, released in 2023, was my second Living Word Studios film and my debut as their Director of Photography. I can’t sum it up better than this: “several festival nominations and awards, over 200 five star reviews on prime video, and climbing towards a million views on YouTube.”

For this project by Monkey Budget, the client needed a demo to showcase their transcription capabilities. I served as the script supervisor and the editor. Each of the film vignettes were shot in front of a green screen.

Business coach and speaker, Joe Novara of Growth Academy Coaching, was looking for a video that showcased the speaking side of his business. Using an interview of him I shot, plus photos and videos he’d obtained over the years, I edited his speaker reel.

One of my clients, Montrose Environmental Group, provided an opportunity for me to work with Enthalpy Analytical’s Durham Laboratory. For this one, we shot a tour of the lab, highlighting some of their latest equipment upgrades. I did the storyboarding, shooting, and editing.

For this one, my client needed something done fast that was exciting and high energy. I created this using b-roll footage I had shot along with a few other assets. It was fun getting into the details with all this animation!

My client wanted a commercial to highlight their emphasis on family. I collaborated with 2 members of the team to design the storyboard for this one. I really loved the way we towed the line of planning while allowing room for creativity to flow with this project. I also shot and edited it.

One of my clients, Montrose Environmental Group, has provided an opportunity for me to work with Enthalpy Analytical’s Durham Laboratory. This is one of our videos in a four part series instructing Method 325 Kit users how to use their passive sampling tubes. I shot and edited this as well as planned our shooting schedule.

My client sent me an inspiration video of the “look” they were aiming for with the video, and this is where that vision took us. I was intrigued by the pastel overlays, glitch effect, and near constant movement happening in the inspiration and aimed to capture that essence in this project. I shot most of this b-roll, and I edited this video. I love to showcase this one as an example to small organizations who don’t have a ton of footage, but do have lots of photos to work with.

For this one, I went out with another videographer and the talent to see what we could capture unscripted. Afterwards, I compiled the footage into a short highlight aimed to demonstrate how accessible and easy birdwatching really is. This one was fun because it was very improvisational. We prepared some questions, but the essence of this one was to find gold in the moments, and I’m happy with what came out of it.

I absolutely love shooting in front of greenscreen and transforming the shot in post. Here is a brief sample of what I can do with green screen. I set up and lit these shots on shooting day, shot the background plates, and edited the final videos for each of these.

Lifeonaire had all their coaches and students together for a full day event, so we took the opportunity to capture some stories. For this one, I sat down with one of their coaches and asked him questions about his life story, then I co-edited it with my team member and compiled it into a brief highlight.
